About the event

Step back in time and gather around the fire at Marble Springs for Cooking with Fire, a hands-on culinary workshop that brings the frontier to life. As part of our ongoing Hearth & Timber: Experiences of the Past series, this special evening program invites you to learn the basics of 18th-century open-fire cooking in a peaceful outdoor setting.

Led by the talented team from Rising Appalachia, the evening includes:

*Guided instruction on historical cooking techniques

*Preparation of a rustic, frontier-inspired meal using cast iron and open coals

*A shared dinner made and enjoyed together by the fire

Tickets are $25 for non-members and just $20 for Marble Springs members. It’s a great opportunity to save while supporting our mission to preserve and interpret Tennessee’s early history.
