About the event

Join us for Summer Field Day at Marble Springs State Historic Site! This special summer program is designed for homeschool families, students who missed a school-year field trip, and anyone interested in experiencing one of our educational tours.

Step back in time as you explore early Tennessee history through hands-on activities and interactive learning. Participants will experience a colonial-era militia drill, discover the importance of taverns and currency through a lively trading game, compare historic and modern kitchens, and explore the arts of spinning, weaving, and natural dyeing in the loom house. It'll be an engaging journey where history and learning merge to create an unforgettable adventure!


Check-in begins at 11:30 AM, Tour begins at 12:00 PM. You must purchase a ticket prior to entry. Students will be separated into three groups of 20 that will experience the tour together. The student tickets are separated ahead of time for those…
